Mission

I believe healing begins in a safe, collaborative, and compassionate environment. Where clients can share their stories, explore, learn, working to identify and then begin to heal current and past wounds. Using a holistic approach, we will explore and better understand your social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cultural experiences to better meet your needs.

Understanding that each person is unique, I offer an eclectic and collaborative approach to help you reach your therapeutic goals. Working together, we will explore practices, tools, and strategies, learning new methods to move through your life, feel empowered and confident, and be your authentic self.

Method

I provide a wide range of eclectic, varied evidence-based therapeutic interventions and practices. I have expertise and years of experience working with numerous diverse cultures and varied life experiences. I utilize various clinical approaches and strategies individualized for the client, ensuring the greatest possible success; providing a friendly, collaborative approach, recognizing that the work is done by the client.

(LMHC #00003737) Therapist and Substance Use disorder counselor

(CDP #00000872) in the state of

Washington, I am also a Co-occurring specialist (MAC).

Expertise

Through specialized training and ongoing professional development, I stay up to date with the latest therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices. My expertise includes trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive and dialectical -behavioral  therapy, EMDR, and clinical

hypnotherapy and internal family systems.

Approach

My holistic approach integrates many therapeutic modalities to address the interconnected aspects of an individual's, couple's, or family's well-being. By considering the mind, body, and spirit, as well as the entire family system, I strive to foster comprehensive healing and growth.

I am an active member of leading professional associations in psychology and therapy. These affiliations allow me to stay connected with industry advancements, ethical standards, and best practices in mental health and addiction care.

Achievements

I have been recognized for my long-term dedication and work in the Mental Health and Addiction field as Clinical Director at several organizations for over 30 years, as well as for my roles as a Licensed Mental Health Psychotherapist and Certified Addiction Counselor. Additionally, I served as a College Instructor for over 20 years.

Education

I hold a Master's Degree in Psychology from Portland State University, specializing in Mental Health counseling/psychotherapy, and addictions. With over 30 years of experience in the field, I have also taught college-level Psychotherapy and Addiction courses for over 20 years. And provided clinical consultation to other professionals for over 25 years.
